Stuck at Oleg's

I have arrived at Olegs's for the first time and don't seem to be able to leave again. Im on my own in terms of party, everyone else is just hanging out. Sold all my junk and the encumburance is at "no penalty". Spoken to all the npc's and exhausted all dialogue options other than the go away and never come back ones for the companions.

The only map transition options i have are related to the trading post inside and out. Nothing to the outside world.

What is the really obvious thing i have missed.

go to the edge of the map, a compass/exit icon will apear on one spot.

I tried walking to the edge of the map kinda opposite the main gate and nothing, Are you talking about somewhere more specific than that?

when you reach the edge of the map outside the post there will be a compass icon that lets you go to the overworld.

Check the east corner of the map. I had the same problem at first, a compass will then appear that'll let you leave.
