Option to remove hood and fur boots for rangers and hide backpacks and helmets?
I want to play as a ranger, but it seems that you are stuck with a backpack and wearing a hood even though you remove the armor. Is there a way to remove that? If not, this would be an essential feature to have. Also, I still haven't figured out how to hide the helmet, is that an option in the game?

EDIT: Also, please allow us to remove those fur boots for rangers. This is the kind of ranger I want to create:

Unfortunately there's no option for that. Every class gets stuck with features like that you can't get rid of. Really killed the piratey feeling of playing a Freebooter.

You can hide the hood by wearing some other hat though. Couldn't find anything to cover the backpack or huge furry boots. Had to restart just to pick a class I liked the under outfit for.

But really thats my only complaint about the game at the moment.

Dang, that's kind of a let down... I don't want the backpack or the furry boots either. :/

I guess I'll have to make a fighter skilled in the bow.

Except that the fighter also has a backpack. x)

Yeah, I just noticed that, lol! Well, at least it doesn't have the hood. It works. :D

There's also the Divine Hunter Paladin and the Sacred Huntmaster Inquisitor, incase you like those outfits. Both use bows, with the Inquisitor also getting a pet.

Thanks, I didn't see those yet. I'll take a look.

Hiding helmets / packs is pretty much standard in games today. Odd omission.

Yeah, it's the only comlaint I have of this game. Other than that, I really think it's an awesome game.

Not even having an option to hide headgear/capes is mind-boggling. I thought that was pretty much standard for CRPGs these days.. especially isometric ones.

(Edit) Yeah, what stark said.

I guess we have to wait for a mod to fix this; I doubt the devs will be faster as this probably isn't anywhere near the top of their priorities currently.

Honestly, in the long run a regular Paladin is probably a better archer in than a Divine Hunter. Giving your party archery feats vs. giving your party Smite Evil... You want the smite evil for the party.

Free Precise Shot is nice, but if you want it at level 1 just roll a human.

Fair point, I'm still pretty clueless so going mostly by what seemed to be the intention of the archetype. The freedom in 3.5e is kind of overwhelming when coming from Baldur's Gate rules.

Otherwise do what I did, and start with a different class, then multi-class into the one you actually want to play.

That doesn't work by the way. As soon as the level of the class you actually want is higher than the one you started with, it changes the class outfit.
The only workaround is save editing and making the game believe that you are, for example, a level 20 Paladin even though you're not.

While I like the hoods it'd be nice if we could toggle them on and off like most other rpg's... also I'd like to be able to change the color of my clothes at any time, unless I missed it.
