I messed up and went Barbarian (mad dog)/cleric for mine, but would recommend going pure cleric as wel...with the crusader (think that is the name) sub class. This lets you get composite longbow mastery on your clerics and still have tons of feats for additional bow damage (although 1 feat is taken up by boon companion to get a full level animal companion).
If you go human, you can get a nice 16 str/18 dex/14 con/16 wis/7 int/7 cha setup (-2 dex for mercs). You get an additional bonus human feat as well, and +1 skill point (useful with the 7 int).
End up with pretty freaking decently high ranged damage, full cleric spells, and a very nice/hard to kill (and easy to heal with so many clerics) animal companion.
Sorc puts mage armor on em etc. Bard buffs everyone...and you destroy everything.
