Ability Score Improvement
Do we get an extra ability point at Level 4,8,12,16,20 like in D&D 5.0 ?

It should follow the system pretty much level to level, since they said that they practically slapped the table top into the computer, and had to kick it into the harddrive real hard to get it to fit.

But seriously yes, progression in game follows table top tables.

Are there any tomes or potions that will permanently increase a stat? I am thinking of original BG that had all the different tomes you could get that would boost a stat by a point

Pathfinder is not DnD 5.0, rather it's closer to DnD 3.5. Most of us refer to it as DnD 3.75.

But DnD3.5 (and, by extention, Pathfinder) does give you an ability score point every 4th level, so clearly WotC didn't bother to change that as they moved through the editions.
