What class are you playing and what difficulty? I was playing a Freebooter (ranger) on normal difficulty. I ran in and stabbed them while the other two shot. I had the sorcerer toss a single magic missile during the fight, mostly to test the system.
What is your class and stats?
Problem is the melee rogue hits for either 24 or 36 and almost always connects and the archers hit for 12-20 usually and they also rarely miss. So I'm just getting one-shotted after two rounds max. I can save scum a crit but the archers are just too strong, They always either one-shot me and one of the others or both the others straight away.
I was thinking their must be a way round this, a secret door or something. I actually have the spells to contain them, sleep and such, but they weren't loaded into slots at game start.
That being said, unless you're playing a max con barbarian. I don't think it's possible right now to get past the tutorial on Unfair difficulty without sneaking around all the encounters. It's kinda a nightmare how much damage the assassins put out.
Can you elaborate on what you mean by "the bottom of the library?
BTW, cheers mate, I thought it might be just me
It might also work on max dif but I haven't played on that setting.
Then you never hit them because they have 18 AC on unfair difficulty.
How about if everyone who has never tried it on unfair try it before they open their mouth.
If anyone does beat it on unfair, please do post a screen shot of them dead on the ground and the tooltip for an enemy attack in the combat log showing.
If the devs put in a difficulty setting that cannot be beat, in the 3rd intro fight, then they have failed in their design.
