I don't see how that helps one bit, you got it randomly by "goobering".

What is the method/pattern?

It's really easy. There is the room with 2 statues and the room with 4 or 5 statues. In the room with 2. Activate the right most, and then the left. Then in the second room, activate the right most. Done.

I hope I didn't screw that up. Lol, but I've done it quite a few times. It can be done in 3 motions

There's actually a second room. One opens when all the swords are raised and the other when they are lowered
