kickstarter special items?
The Kickstarter includes "special in-game items" but I didn't really find an explanation what these are. Is it the same as the preorder items on STeam or is there a difference? And if there is a difference, will KS backers get the preorder items as well?

Corrent, same as the Steam preorder.

Ok, so only difference between KS digital tiers and Steam tiers are the digital extras, all of which are probably included with the imperial edition?

There's a conversion thread on the Owlcat forums. The short version; Kickstarters got bumped up to whatever tier gets us all the items that they were promised in the Kickstarter.

Thanks.

Umm their pinned thread says otherwise:

-Kickstarters and Slacker backers will get Several Backer Only Items. These will be in a "Backer's Chest" in game. They include: a Cloak available to all backers, and a Ring, a helmet, and a quirky spell available to backers which backed at premium digital edition levels and higher. Those premium level backers will also have an Extra portrait of a female elven undead sorcerer.

Actually the pinned tread says:
"
Version Differences
-Kickstarters and Slacker backers will get Several Backer Only Items. These will be in a "Backer's Chest" in game. They include: a Cloak available to all backers, and a Ring, a helmet, and a quirky spell available to backers which backed at premium digital edition levels and higher. Those premium level backers will also have an Extra portrait of a female elven undead sorcerer.
-Pre-orderers (which includes Kickstarters and Slacker backers) will get an Owlcat pet, A Mesmerizing Necklace, and an Expert's hat. The Necklace boosts Spellcasters (somehow) and the Expert's hat boosts perception in addition to another bonus I am unsure of. The Owlcat pet increases perception and Lore: Nature when equipped.
-The premium Digital edition comes with 2 in-game items: a signet that allows you to bless your party several times a day, and a belt with bonus disease and fatigue resistance; two new portraits, one male and one female: a fearless warrior from Cheliax and a skillful elf wizard; A 176 page digital Art Book; and an official soundtrack lovingly crafted for the game by beloved composer Inon Zur. It also comes with an extra soundtrack in the tavern unlocked through social goals.
-The Explorer Edition is the base game by itself.
-The Noble Edition the premium digital edition.
-The Royal edition a premium digital edition, a Red Panda Pet that adorably greets you by standing on its hind legs, and also grants a bonus to saves, a digital adventure Module by Chris Avellone and a digital Map of the Stolen Lands.
-The Imperial Edition comes with everything from the Royal Edition, plus a Season pass which adds the first 3 DLCs. Presumably the season pass will also be sold seperately upon game release, but there is no indication of that happening at this time.
"

So let's say that you are beta backer (95$ or alpha backer was it 115€ or so) you will get all.

If you are premium download version backer you will get:
"
- A Cloak available to all backers, and a Ring, a helmet, and a quirky spell available. also have an Extra portrait of a female elven undead sorcerer.
- will get an Owlcat pet, A Mesmerizing Necklace, and an Expert's hat. The Necklace boosts Spellcasters (somehow) and the Expert's hat boosts perception in addition to another bonus I am unsure of. The Owlcat pet increases perception and Lore: Nature when equipped.

It also comes with an extra soundtrack in the tavern unlocked through social goals.

"

AND if you are "just" basic edition kickstart backer you will still get:
"
- A Cloak available to all backers
- will get an Owlcat pet, A Mesmerizing Necklace, and an Expert's hat. The Necklace boosts Spellcasters (somehow) and the Expert's hat boosts perception in addition to another bonus I am unsure of. The Owlcat pet increases perception and Lore: Nature when equipped.
- the base game by itself.

True, but I was trying to answer for:

So KS backers WILL get preorder items as well and in my post he can see difference based on pledge level. Naturally if you are NOT kickstart backer you can not get kickstart bonuses. Same go for (I guess) if you will not PRE-order game you can not get preorder bonuses (so if you buy game let's say a year from release or so...).

I was a KS backer and did not get the preorder items(Owlcat pet, A Mesmerizing Necklace, Expert's hat). Did anyone, or is this a known issue?

I did get the other stuff in Oleg's chest but not those 3 items.
