mhm maybe you did a decision he did not agree and he is mad at you? idk, put this in the bug section. maybe there is an answer
he can be the warden too. he is in my last and actually playthrough.... so there is a way...
ideally you’ll do what you need to do to save one character, then leave the area and go rescue the other.
In practice, Jhod has more time than Kesten, so you should go to Lamashtu’s Womb first, help out Kesten, then abandon the area and return to Tuskdale to help out Jhod.
i hope it will work then for you :)
About Kesten during the Season of Bloom subchapter (in response to Ave) :
You can dissuade Kesten from going in the Womb of Lamashtu (require Lawful alignment), and is the only way actually really supported by the game to save both Jhod and Kesten.
If you trick the game by following Kesten in the Womb, then after rescuing him, insta travel to your capital to save Jhod, you can indeed save them both, but later you'll notice with a dialog text than the game thinks you dissuaded Kesten from going to the Womb.
woah that i didnt know, thank you sir for this information
