From what I've seen, magical prestige classes in most cases to give +1 caster level bonuses most of the time just like the pen and paper game, the arcane trickster definately does this going by Octavia's default build, but I can only say I'm 80% certain that dragon disciple will give you caster levels since I've had some troubles trying to get into that class myself

1st, 5th and 9th level of DD do NOT increase caster level. The rest do.

Quick question, did you happen to make a dragon disciple without taking a dragon bloodline in the first place? I've for sure been able to take levels as an abyssal bloodline sorcerer but my new INT based archetype can't for some reason.

To qualify for the dragon disciple PC, you need to be a spontaneous arcane caster, ie a bard, sorc. or eldrich scion (magus archetype). Int based (wizard, other magus) would not qualify since they prepare their spells.

if you already have a bloodline you're NOT supposed to be able to take Dragon Disciple at all. Only people who either have a dragon bloodline, or don't have any bloodline but can cast spontaneously are supposed to be able to enter the prestige class, but because of how they shoehorned/forced Eldritch Scion into the game I wouldn't be surprised if you did falsely enter the prestige class.

I know about the spontaneous casting requirement, I said I was using the INT based sorcerer archetype

Well damn, this does seem to be the case, maybe it's because the abyssal bloodline is the only one that also has the grow claws power like all the dragon bloodlines do, so I guess that's another two days of getting a new character up to level 6 to try and make a gragon disciple.

I have another question: i don't remember if rogue's ''finesse training'' works on any weapon, or just light ones....Does it?
