Is The Lonely Hunter errand (quest) broken?

I cannot get the quest to advance. I have talked to ivar repetedly and nothing happens, he just runs off everytime. I have not used the attack option though. The walkthrough I watched shows the quest itself advancing after speaking with him, and that is not happening. nor is the next map area in this quest chain unlocking. Anyone else have this problem?

I finished this quest today. After talking with Ivan he ran away. You get a new dialogue line for one of the named villagers (Aylas?) who tells he goes alone north. If you go northeast there appears three new perception spots to be discoved which tells someone moved there. After I exited the map from northeast a new location was available on world map for me.

Aysel , Speak to him even if no Dialogue pop Out , ask him about IVAR , (again if you did once alredy) and a new Diplomacy Roll will pop out .

After you follow the comment and speak to ivan on the Grove , you completed the quest , the quest auto finishes .

Urgh. I had to complete a "find ivar" kingdom project for that.
Had no idea that some village would just tell you his location. What a waste of project time...
