Too bad we aren't running a baronny/kingdom of several thousands people with a mentor state that could have provided us with any professionnal helpers...
We can't even HIRE a freaking generic advisor in the 5 years that the campaign is supposed to last.
Can anyone point me to something that isn't just a list of advisers and what they can do?
This?
Best Councilors for Each Spot (even if you don’t have them yet):
Regent: Valerie
Councilor: Tristian or Tsanna (but favor the merchants, NOT the commonfolk)
High Priest: Harrim
General: Regongar
Treasurer: Jubilost
Magister: Octavia
Minister: Ekundayo
Warden: Kesten
Diplomat: Linzi
Curator: Storyteller
It's not really that helpful dude, sorry.

I only wish somebody would iterate on it and show which choices lead to what ending slides, as the game provides 3 outcomes related to each kingdom stat - 2 different slides, or no slide at all. And getting no slide is not related to not getting the stat to X, it's also seems to be choice related (raising all kingdom stats to X leads to a separate slide). Some kingdom stat slides are just a different kind of bad, so getting no slide is actually preferable.
Advisers can be pushed the way you want them, they leave their post only if their disagreement threshold reaches -3. If you water down choices they disagree on with choices they agree on you'll never reach this threshold and can even keep Tristian by siding with merchants (do that, seriously, even though he's gonna look at you with sad puppy eyes). So how good or bad they are mostly is related to their ability stats, npc advisers need to be taught to be better through projects, while on companions you can simply slap according ability raising accessories.
So far I can clearly understand which choices lead to which slides or no slides for Regent, Councillor, Diplomat, Magister, Priest, Warden and Curator.
General, Treasurer and Minister are still baffling to me. After the definitive edition release I can't get a General slide, which used to be easy earlier. Treasurer choices still lead to empty treasury even by siding with Kanerah and tripling the taxes (maybe instead of agreeing to create a trade guild I need to choose taxing material goods next time), and no matter what choices I can't get a minister slide with Ekun.
