What does the project 'Rebuild the temple of the elk' actually DO?!

Yes I know a new vendor appears at the temple, but the project text says 'Unlocks a special region upgrade. Prevents pillaging the temple' and I cannot build a special project when I finally claim the region and the 'Pillage the temple of the elk' project pops up the very next day, thus not being prevented at all.

Supposedly there's a sacred grove you can build in the buildings screen(lumber mill talks about it). Could be the upgrade they were talking about.

Sacred Grove is the building you can build when you are a good character that is the equivalent of Stocks for evil guys, as for the temple, by the time your settlement is upgraded enough to build a temple to a god, I can imagine you can build a super temple of erastil if you've done this project, although that's speculation.

This should give you a guideline however, all these lengthy projects are late game stuff, only bother with upgrading your city stats once every start of the month (and spend the rest half of the month exploring) so you have advisors ready during the constant troubles that can appear in chapters 2 & 3.

Sacred Grove is available in every region, and was available before I rebuilt the temple. I don't think it has anything to do with rebuilding the temple.

I've completed a chapter since rebuilding the temple and I haven't found anything new related to it yet.

I think u get some unique upgrade for shrine. (or at least it's what is written).
