Please explain heavy armor and travel/sleeping

Should I unequip heavy armor from my characters when I travel or rest, does it affect the travel/sleep time ?

And since i'm here; I have a pet, what happens if it dies and I leave it there ?

If I reach the town and by a ressurection spell, will he be with me ?

Same question for companions.

Nah it's just if you get ambushed during rest your dudes would be without armor.

Party and personal encumbrance does affect your speed though.

Pets resurrect on rest, no scrolls needed.

Companions will be with you provided you don't have that die forever option in difficulty options and they get hit by disintegrate spell or something. I.e. you can res them by clicking on their portraits I think. Although I always raised them on same spot they died.

I don't remmember what option I chose but Jaethal is in the town right now and she is saying that "I have no need for your company right now".

Can't I have her as a companion now ?
