I'm wondering because I chose arcane bloodline to get +2 saving throw bonus on my spells. Wouldn't it synergize with elven spell resistance bypass?
Spells resistence(spell penetration) and savings throws(spell dc) arent the same things. Only rare creatures have spell resistence which you have to bypass first, while everyone has some degree of saving throws.
Oh, I'm aware of it. I thought these 2 feats could synergize to make my spells more potent but I have never played pathfinder & 3.5 D&D based games and I don't know how useful spell penetration is.
then you have a normal roll for spell dc like normal.
o your penetration will help from a spell failing due to spell resistance. how good it is will depend on the enemies you face.
For a sorcerer, I would take anything that gives a +2 Cha (unless you take an arquetype). The archon is OK.
Regarding spell resistance penetration, I think it matters. For the first half of the PnP and paper, almost no monster had spell resistance (I can only remember one). So not much in the first half.
But once you get to level 10 and above, some monsters, not only bosses, begin to have SR.
So I use to get the two spell penetration feats, but it is possible to delay learning it.
So for a wizard, taking the elf option is good, but for sorcerer, considering Charisma bonuses and all the extras, I would get aasimar. (My main is a cleric, I created a druid and a sorcerer companion, all of them aasimar xd)
What is this Charisma bonuses and all the extras you mentioned? If I play an elf sage sorcerer int replaces charisma and I don't need charisma, do I?
