Help! Cleric stat allocation!

How should I make, and build one?

Domains: Evil, Death

Deity: Urgathoa

to me it depends on how you choose to handle combat? Melee or Ranged? I would suggest ranged, and in that I'd go with something like Dwarf, Heavy Crossbow Str 10, Dex 16, Con 12, Intelligence 10, Wis 18, Cha 12.

If you're going melee then Switch the Dex and Str around and wear fullplate. Dwarves are automatically proficient with Warhammers or Battle Axes I think, so focus on one of those two. Pick up Martial Weapon Proficency at some point and equip a Heavy Shield and wield a Dwarve Waraxe.

sooooo con 14 at least, this game is taxing on the HP, Cha 15 and wisdom 15 at least. you waill want access to the selective channeling feat so you dont blast your friends while damaging enemies.

it's a feat that allows you to not heal enemies when you use the AOE Heal

and not to hurt your allies when you use the negative channel skill

he can get selective channeling at 5th level, after raising charisma to 13 at 4th level. The first four levels come super fast in this game, it's everything that after that takes its sweet time, for reference, by the time you go fight Stag Lord you should be half way to level 6.

When you channel negative energy, do you want to hurt your living teammates or not? Probably not.

You probably want a 13 or 14 cha to start with. Dump Int. If you’re going ranged, probably dump or push Con low. You need high wisdom, high Dex, decent cha and strength.

You also won’t have bow proficiency unless you are an elf - elf would help you get more dex and would lower your con and raise your Int, so maybe just lower your Int to 8 and let the racial keep you at two skill points a level?

Dunno, but frankly I think I’d try just embrace the spellcaster part, get a medium dex, pump cha and wis, and burn enemies with channel and negative energy spells.

Also Channeling healing is something you do outside of combat, in combat you definitely shouldn't be doing it unless you're surrounded by undead and it wont matter, since the game gives you enough potions to drown a horse. Oh right i forgot got he wasn't a healer cleric, my bad.. i should have taken that into consideration.

Sooo, here is what my stats look like so far:
Str: 10
Dex: 10
Con: 12
Int: 7
Wis:18
Cha: 14

Race: Human

I have 7 points remaining and don't know what to do with them.

I also chose to use my racial bonus on strength.

dex for AC and +attack with ranged.
