Kukri vs Dagger? Which one is better?
- both does same damage ( 1d4 )
- kukri does slash damage with higher chance of crit ( 18-20d )
- dagger does piercing damage ( which is I guess better against armored enemies ) with a 19-20d crit chance

Im guessing that daggers are better if there are more enemies with high armor in the game. What do you think?

kukri require martial proficiency.

You need to pay aditional feat to use kukri. Right? I mean Exotic was it? So here is your answer.

Btw how much armor does piercing damage ignore?

If I’m not mistaken, Kukri has a 5% better chance at critical hits (18-20 = 15% chance vs 19-20 = 10% chance).

If Pathfinder has the expanded critical range feat (forget it's name) like DnD, then it can be doubled to 30% (for kukri) vs 20% for dagger, which makes Kukri much better for crit builds.

However, as pointed out above, it requires a feat to use Kukri.

Also, I heard that there are a lot of slash resistant mobs in this adventure.

Paying the feat tax is worth it if you can get good kukris.
I've only seen two +1 where one was keen (i think?) so far (at lv9)

The tax is well worth it when you use Outflank for crits (more crits=more hits for everyone) especially when you get improved critical (makes the crit range 15-20)

Yes, now I remember, it is the "Keen" designation on the weapon that doubles the crit range...

kukri is better due to crit and also have good availablity thruout the early chapters. crit can be abused with outflank in this game to give everyone a lot of attacks.

kukri is martial and if u take a level in a class with martial profieciency like barbs and fighters u dont need to use a feat on it.

Alright so I picked the right choice afterall.
Edit: But it also depends on how many enemies with high armor you encounter in the whole game

You need to have weapon focus 'kukri'. The expanded range is only for 1 type of weapon each time.

There are more powerful daggers than kukris in the game, just so you'd know. Including uniques.

Improved critical is fairly high level feat since it requires high base attack to take. Off the top of my head you need 8 bab, which takes a long time to get for rogues and such.

kukri is better do to its 18-20 crit range with keen you can crit and crit alot... but does require a feat for a rogue to use which might put some off of using it. It also a dagger so knife arctype rogues still get there enhanced sneak attack damage.

bad part? i have yet to find any good kukri daggers... for nok nok....
