Suggestion: Make Orc Ferocity/Diehard a toggle
So, Regongar is my most death-prone battle buddy. He'll stay up even past negatives and then the next enemy that attacks him will murder him. In Pathfinder, you can choose to drop instead with Orc Ferocity.

My suggestion would be to make it a toggle for orcs. That way they don't end up getting killed as often.

Before anyone says "just use a potion" or whatever, keep in mind how rounds work. Sometimes you don't have the time before a second or third enemy hits you.

I just made a half orc barb for the Varnhold dlc and I now know exactly what you mean. Because Orcs don't go down when they hit 0 they just end up dying on the next swing which is INCREDIBLY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ANNOYING. This racial/feat is suppose to be good but is horrible in practice due to the game just killing them off. I suggest they get one instance of damage immunity before going unconcious so then its an actual moment of glory vs a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reload.

Hell I don't know how you can even have anyone survive going down with the hundreds of grenades that get thrown at you each round.

As soon as someone goes down for me it's a reload, because there's no point continuing the fight and getting a grenade death in a minute or so.

Death is easy to manage, it's just the diehard makes orcs way more fragile as the AI will continue to attack them when they reach 0 HP.

Also you guys bumped a really old topic. But if it's still an issue, I see no reason not to discuss it.

You say that, but it's really not :D

Try giving your guys a move order when they're standing on top of a KOed teammate, especially if there's enemies around or *GASP* some kind of impassable barrier like a bench or bush. Death vs single target enemies is fine though

That being said, it's still a problem yeah. There's actually a kind of partially related problem in that the Kineticist class gives itself non-lethal damage as they use thier abilities which causes them to KO out of the fight but with real health left so the enemies still treat them as up and fighting, which takes pressure off the rest of your team (and if you're using a kinetic knight your kineticist is almost as survivable passed out as they are standing up so you don't even really lose anything).

Turns out they didnt implement the coup-de-gras mechanic. Presumably so the player couldn't exploit it.
