What is the benefit of a dueling sword?
It seems to have identical stats to a longsword, but it costs an extra feat to gain proficiency. What am I missing?

There are a few classes and feats that use it specifically.

I built a Ftr [Aldori] /Rogue and am really cleaning up with it.
A Duelling Sword can be used with Weapon Finess, used to sneak attack, etc. Add that to the Aldori Sword Mastery feat and you're using a sword one handed. I'm routinely doing 12+ pts damage and I don't have to carry a shield.

Are you sure? I was looking into doing this for Linzi (I thought it would be hilarious to have her as a happy go lucky aldori defender duelist "HAHAAA HAVE AT THEE SCALLYWAG" type) but it's a medium weapon and weapon finesse doesn't have duelist sword listed as one of its' exceptions.

dueling swords have their own feats.

Yes you can. You must be looking at the list without having the proficiency to do so.

No Proficiency? No show.

From the Aldori Dueling Sword's description in tabletop:

"These slightly curved swords measure just over 3 feet in length. An Aldori dueling sword can be used as a martial weapon (in which case it functions as a longsword), but if you have the feat Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Aldori dueling sword), you can use the Weapon Finesse feat to apply your Dexterity modifier instead of your Strength modifier to attack rolls with an Aldori dueling sword sized for you, even though it isn’t a light weapon. You can also wield an Aldori dueling sword in two hands to apply 1-1/2 times your Strength bonus to damage rolls."

Aside from being able to use it as a martial weapon, the rest of that is applicable to this game. A character with Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Aldori dueling sword) and Weapon Finesse is using their dex on attack rolls and the weapon can also be wielded one-handed for those wanting to pair it with a shield (or just leave the off-hand empty if you want to go full Aldori Swordlord).

I don't like that when you only wield one Dueling Sword it's wielded like a Two Hander in the Game. It's only cosmetic I guess since the Aldori Duel Mastery Feat is working but it looks so bad.

It is disappointing, yeah.

I seem to remember it having a better threat range than a longsword, is that still a thing?

It never did, it was always 19-20 just like a longsword.

... what? Wielding a slashing weapon with both hands "looks so bad"? It's not a Rapier, despite the similar length. Have you ever tried using it on a Magus? That looks ridiculous.

As for the Weapon Finesse, I can't test it right now but don't you need Slashing Grace too for the WF effect to apply to the Dueling Sword?

Slashing Grace is just for Dex to damage - Weapon Finesse only affects attack rolls. And you can apply it to a dueling sword just by having Exotic Weapon Proficiency for it.

Ah, ok. That makes sense. Thanks!
