A light mace does less damage than a heavy mace and a flail does less than a heavy flail while the heavy flail is also two handed. Also flails are supposed to have a bonus to trip and disarm maneuvers but I didn't see that listed for them in game.

Light mace - Simple Light weapon (benefits from Weapon Finesse, Agile enchantment), 1d6 damage, blunt damage type

Heavy mace - Simple, 1d8 damage, blunt damage

Flail - Martial one handed weapon, 1d8 damage, with the disarm and trip qualities, meaining they are better suited to being used for those purposes (e.g. they get a +2).

Flail is pretty tough to justify over a Heavy Mace, unless you are trying to use those extra qualities. At least it weighs less. Hope you didn't get Martial Weapon Proficiency just to use it.

Light mace is pretty good, but has a poor damage die. Solid simple weapon choice

They're all pretty bad due to bad crit multipler though

Have you been able to confirm that Flails have the +2? I've seen nothing in the info panel saying they get a bonus to trip/disarm. Is it a hidden stat? I know they did in the PnP I was just wondering if they actually got them in the game.

I don't see anything about the disarm and trip qualities of flails ... Where is it mentioned ?

It's not in game. It's a Pn thing they didn't translate any of the weapon qualities (just like they locked combat maneuvers behind feats entirely)
