If I did it any other way, even succeeding in all checks, the doors remained closed. Stupid bug.
Alternatively, if it's too late and you have no saves, you can get by with a teleportation/dimension-door spell. Just move around close to the doors and walls and you'll get a sliver of light through and be able to see the other side. Teleport to where you can see the floor and you're in.
Best tip ever. Never would I have figured out myself to teleport through the door that way. If you dont go behind the doors you will miss at least two pieces of different artifacts.
I'm not 100% sure but if you pick ANY other option except for the DC 35 Athletics option, the doors lock.
Hella late to the discussion, but I was looking this up myself lol. I passed the Trickery and Intelligence checks first and then passed the Athletics 35 check and the doors opened correctly. Even passing only the Athletics 35 checks will open the doors. Just confirmed this in my game a few moments ago.
