[Spoiler] Left without a warden?
So, yeah. Kesten died. Ekun threw a hissy fit because i decided to not genocide Kobolds and left. Left is Rekundar, who is Chaotic Evil. I'm Neutral Good. Am i left without a warden for the rest of the game?

How did your Kesten die?

I'm not sure the Chaotic Evil means much really, apart from a few little "hey boss, option 1 2 or 3" decsisons that boost or lower various stats in your kingdom.

And why Kesten thinks he has plot armor.... :-/

Playing on Hard, so i had to rest once or twice in the city fight, thus didn't make it to the other location in time.

I feel like that's the answer for literally every single "omg this thing happened and now I'm hurt or up a creek!!" post ever.

I'm not really sure what else I expected.

Alignment plays little roles besides them getting pissed at you over choices. Some of their things will piss off other advisors etc. Trick is if your neutral you can more easily get around certain things... while playing good or evil will cause friction more easily. While Idiots like Valoria gets pissed off at everything because she's arrogant and selfish and unreasonable.

And if Valoria is a true example of what LN is, than LN folks are the worst arse holes in the alignment wheel. She behaves like a hellknight.

Val definitely is pita to deal with. Her entire character design is precisely that she's a fallen paladin who still carries around all that baggage and obnoxious holier-than-thou attitude.

yeah, there are really some backups as advisors missing. i mean, you can get Barthi and the other cleric, but for some of the other jobs there are no alternative around. You cannot even dizz Tristian, because otherwise you do have an open position until the end of the game... have you tried not taking him on that mission, so that he cannot complain?

That's why I never ask Bokken or Oleg to help fight the bandits in the very beginning: they tend to get shot the ♥♥♥♥ up with arrows and they aren't well armored adventurers.

Wrong order.
First, go to the Womb of Lamashtu, save Kesten and his soldiers, then travel to the city (before clearing the Womb and the Other World).
Once you cleared your capitale, and thus saved both Kesten and Jhod, just return to the Womb.

And the alignment of an advisor is only going to affect your « [Advisor] requests your attention » events. Nothing more. So take Regongar.

Not really sure what you mean, but if playing on a difficulty that makes fights hard, you need to rest between them. Otherwise you obviously just going to have to fish preferable dice rolls.

I ended up replaying the whole quest and just did the city part on easy & saved both. I enjoy a high difficulty, but i don't see why it has to be punishing long term.

Huh. I sent him to the city figuring he'd be wearing a red shirt if he tired to save the day upstream without me. I went to the city first and he was there.

It might not matter where you send him as long as you go there first.

So indeed, and my bad, you took the best option (the Lawful one, ordering Kesten to head to the capital), you were screwed because of your need to rest during the fight.
