also come back at a higher level, 7 is pushing it. (there are more options for acid later, dragons breath for one. a druid pet with acid maw wrecks em pretty good too)
1) Run around like a hasted chicken, shooting acid arrows at the golems. Will work eventually, and is what I did in the cyclops dungeon. Not recommended.
2) Jubilost. He works really well, since his acid damage output is leagues ahead of arcane casters. All they have at youir level is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ acid arrow, and at later levels it doesn't get much better...
I keep forgetting that I have this sawed-off bomb monkey, time to load up on acid splash potions and turn him loose!
You won't pass half end game encounters with that guy, havin 28+ on demand fire / acidballs that do not harm party is vital.
Is that because they don't actually have eyes since they don't actually exist and are just large hunks of metal/rock being animated by a continous magic spell which we should be able to dispel but can't?
Here is some tip may works for you, buff your team with haste, faithful shield, enlarge person, delay poison, blur. Those buff are excellent when fighting golems.
For your melee dps character, turn on power attack, you really need the extra damage to overcome golem’s DR.
Fighting with golems is really about melee dps rushing. It’s a test for how good job your physical dps can do.
Don’t look too much into how to tank those thing or spell damage or control, just focus on your dps output.
That shouldn't be the case, golems are supposed to be immune to magic. That's, like, their one defining trait !
EDIT : actually I checked to be doubly sure and sure enough, Glitterdust isn't affected by spell resistance, ergo not by magic immunity either. Damn, that spell is even more busted that I realized.
Quite simple and funny tactic: lots of Webs so golems cant get to me and showered them with acid.
In normal fight i barely got half HP off of one and died, but with web+acid cheese it was quick and simple. Also when i say lots of webs, i mean lots, casted 5 of them one on top of another, so they barely could move one feet even on 2-3 successful saves in a row.
