Edit: But yes, i agree that it would be great to be able to dismiss spells like web\entangle and obsidian flow.
Duration instantaneous
"You convert a thin layer of the ground to molten glass that cools quickly. Creatures in the area take 1d6 points of fire damage per two caster levels (maximum of 10d6) and become entangled."
Doesn't this mean that the spell changes instantly the topology of the area by changing the ground to glass? Why is there a duration in PK?
B: In PK you can fail an Athletics/Mobility check of 15 on the obsidian flow and take 1d6 damage every time you do so.
The point is that I shouldn't need to expend a 3rd level spell to call off an ability used by my own caster.
It's not just 1d6, it's 1d6 every time you fail the check; characters like Harrim will continually do this, get entangled again, until they slowly run out of HP or you roll a 20.
Have you seen a way to craft dispell magic scrolls? Or just buy from vendor? I haven't seen any for sale yet.
Now, I gather there's no automatic at-will dispelling of your spells in the game, but still, the spell that causes Obsidian Flow's effect is instantaneous and then gone, much like a Fireball's effect: after the explosion, the spell's gone and the effects remain -- nothing to dispel.
