Rations, vendor ran out.

Ok, so the vendor in my capitol ran out of rations. My question, will they renew eventually, or am I stuck without rations for now.

You can buy more from the tavern wench :)

I dont think they regenerate but there are a few other vendors who sell them. Use hunting as much as you can. You can turn off the use of rations by clicking manage --> top right uncheck use rations.

Problem is that vendors are too static... they sell only what you give them and they will never re-supply themselves of a piece of armor or swords you bought years ago....

The only reason you see new gear is due to a level rule where they only show items manually selected for your level...

poor design when rng would be in place along with a re-stock option.

oleg gets new stuff once.. i think it changes after you defeated the stag lord.. (i got 2 small bag of holdings ^^) or maybee it was just a bug... who knows.

but having new equip every month would be awsome... at first the traders are good.. then, when you bough all you need... they are just there to liquidize your inventory

As far as I have seen Vendors getting updated and restocked each new Act.

If you use the Ranger NPC you can put him into the special Camping slot, he reduces Ration consumption by 2 each Rest.

I use hunting, but I also fail sometimes, and they eat part of the rations. Also in dungeons you cant hunt. They need to patch that. It makes no sense for rations to be limited.

Naughty, turn off 'Use Rations' in Manage camping menu.

If the hunter fails it just means they take longer to get enough to feed everyone. If you have it turned on and try to hunt, they'll come back after 1 check. Unless you're realllly worried about time passing its not a good deal.

Rations are really only needed for camping in dungeons, or no hunt areas.

Wow, gotta love these totally unexplained systems. I've been leaving "use rations" on and despite resting as infrequently as possible and constantly hunting, I'm still almost out of rations for sale at the start of Chapter 3 with presumably quite a few dungeons left to go. All those 16 hours -> 1 rations hunt rolls add up. Am I totally hosed or will they restock at some point.

Isn't there a trader/vendor in every village/territory you make who also sells 50 rations? i.e. there's got to be like 1000 rations available before any restock.

My villages only have maybe 20 per vendor, and at least 1 village doesn't have a vendor. My first active game I am using Ekun and was thrilled when I found he could reduce rations by 4. Incidentally this should reduce the time needed to hunt, which was just making your Ancient Curse timer tick faster. Just started a new party with full custom characters and not sure how this will effect my playthrough using more rations than with Ekun.

i hate how it turns it back on automaticaly sometimes. I almost always lose rations before i get to dungeons because of this.

it's really weird too because know(nature) for hunting is really easy in normal pathfinder, its a DC10 with +2 per additional person to feed. so someone with +20 should always feed a full party... but it doesn't seem to be the case.

ALSO, this is the check made while moving each day, so it shouldn't cost additional hunting time but be performed each day. ALSO why can only 1 guy hunt?

Elina in the tavern restocks very chapter. Buy all from her and sell it to hassuf to have easier access later.

As everyone knows, world has only set amout of food with no way to replenish the stocks, and once we have eaten that food we will all starve.
