Why is my Barony crumbling constantly?
I don't get what I'm doing wrong, I got past the two main quests that seem to cause your barony to collapse if you don't do them in time. But even with those out of the way my barony seems to be in a downward spiral of failure. Nothing I can do seems to save the barony from crumbling. The "Address the Barony" option -never- seems to succeed no matter how high I try it.

Any advise? Besides just setting the Kingdom management to auto?

The riots occurs when any statistic drops below zero -- its just most likely to be stability. The other common candidate is, oddly enough, BP, as there are some events that drain the treasury with catastrophic consequences.

Another thing to keep in mind is that a statistic droping to zero isn't necessarily catastrophic, as an event will be created to address the problem. But if you are away from the barony adventuring, or stuck in a 14 day event... I think the stability drops by one level every 7 days the statistic is below zero and there are only three levels (Stable -> Unrest -> Rioting -> Lose)

Hey OP what are all your kingdom stats and upgrade levels? That will help us.
krule7777 Oct 3, 2018 @ 3:20pm
A note, the difficulty your kingdom is set it affects the Difficulty Check of the projects and events, easy means the average DC is 15, which means at about level 5, with your various ranks at level 1, your looking at around a 30% fail rate, normal means an average DC of 20, leading to a 55% fail rate, and hard is usually a DC of 25, leading to a 80% fail rate. There are a few ways to improve this, certain buildings and projects can make things easier, but this does make things difficult intitally.

No clue -- you should be OK based on those stats. I'm wondering if this is either a bug or a hidden time limit (e.g. you didn't take care of a story mission in a timely manner, so you lose no matter what).

The hidden time limit is what I'm wondering at this point. Because I'm recieving no events informing me that something is happening to cause this.

The timed quest are usally pointed out by their own section of quest and I heard having negative bp can also cause a crumble
The only thing im not sure of is problem events like I know you can skip opportunity and no issue will ever happen but there a hint in the loading screen that say ignoring to much problems can cause major issue in kingdom.

I'm thinking it's a bug.

I have similar stats on my kingdom and my BP and stats have never gone negative. I set out and deal with story quests immediately, and finished them as fast as possible. In the time between defeating Trolls and waiting for the Bloom to start, my kingdom went from the neutral state to 'Worried' seemingly at random. After defeating The Bloom event , but well before the next event started it went from 'Worried' to 'Troubled'.

As far as everyone knows, it's just about keeping stats and BP positive, and quickly addressing story quests? Because if that's the case, it's bugged for me.

edit: I'm also aware of the distinction between problems and opportunities, and have *almost* always resolved problems favorably.

During this questline you get sooner ore earlier a revolt, i was on bad standing too, after done this stuff i am now very steadfast, so no problem any more. Which helps if one of your advisors make a triump result in the right event.

And i recommend to take a look which attribut is used from your advisors, you can give them item which boost this attributes. 4+ and you get 2 point =10% better success more. And more triumph results too. These help you to boost your advisors faster.

So to clarify, in the chapter after the Bloom there's a scripted revolt? I got the one during the Bloom, and talked down my people when they rioted outside the throne room .

If there's another one coming up that's scripted, I'll press on and hopefully getting through things will push morale back up. I'm just rather confused that, broadly speaking, everything I'm doing in the kingdom seems successful, yet my kingdom is considering rebellion and revolt right now.

I had only one, and i calm them with a fireball and some swort swings. I do not know if it is scripted, but some of your actions offers you some answers to try a friendly solution. So yes it may be scripted.

As far as I know (and I'm in the chapter after the Bloom) my stability has never droped below "Stable". There was the scripted revolt during the Bloom, which I succesfully defused via speech, but that (again, as far as I know) didn't have any impact on stabilty. And I've definately failed lots and lots of events, and I, like you, priortizied handling main-line quests when available over all other actions, so...

Something seems hinky here -- why would some people have problems and others not.

Hmmmm....

I'm Lawful Evil, and it seems reasonable that Lawful characters would have an advantage over Neutral (and further over Chatoic) characters when it comes to Stability -- what alignement are you?
