Anybody know if investing in this pays off?

I am inclined to refuse but wanted to see. I could use the BP :D

If you agree to fund it you get a building you can make in your capital that passively gives 2 Relations, and has a bonus effect where you have a 10% chance to earn 3BP a week and 10% chance to earn 1BP a week. I'm not sure of any long term consequences for building it or rejecting the proposal.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥... 10% to earn 3 and 10% to earn 1.. lets avarage that on 20% to earn 2... So you get more or less 100% that you get 2 in 5 weeks and it costs 100 for the project... Which means 500 weeks before the building pays for itself? :D

kinda reanimating old post but...

remember that you also get kingdom stats just for investing, and while +4 (I don't remember whichs stats they were, only that it was +2 two times) might not be much in exchange for 100 BP but...

the building itself also provides +2 relations on top of BP "income". so that makes it +6 stat in exchange for 100 BP, some of which will be returned over time, but also...

if you don't want to keep the building, you can sell it after placing, and you'll get back 50 BP. and then, you end up with +4 kingdom stat (from initial investment) at the cost of only 50 BP, which sounds more reasonable

Never thought about selling it back. Interesting.

But yeah it’s an expensive building for the time, but Relations points are also hard to come by then, so it helps if you are trying to ramp up Relations quickly, to unlock things like Espionage, Easier Claim project, or some better artisan gifts etc.

The BP bonus then helps hedge the cost slowly over time for you.
