[Bug] Dexterity Damage can kill you
I finished fighting something that poisoned Amiri. After the battle, she took dexterity damage reducing her dex score to 0, and then died. She took no HP damage, only dexterity damage. A dexterity score of 0 is supposed to be immobilized not dead.

Dunno - if you are in a dungeon and have no rations, and can't move - you are dead either way?

afaik if ANY of your stats drops to 0 you automatically die in the game.

Only a 0 Con should kill you. Str and Dex at 0 should paralyse you and Wis, Int and Cha to 0 makes you comatose. Well that's with PnP anyway.

Yep this isnt P&P its a video game. Certain liberties with the rules are to be expected really.

Actually as palathas stated dex should paralyze not kill.

You should be able to get someone up with Lesser Restoration rather than have to reload after winning. It even says in the tooltip that a Dex of 0 immobilized you. It's kind of annoying that you just die.

That's weird they don't go with them being unable to move but you could still switch maps and they follow you and collapse (so even early on you could rest it up or get a vendor who has lesser restore.)

Here's another interesting thing I found. If my characters that have Dex damage fall to 0 HP, they gain 1 Dex when they get back up after combat.

So it definitely seems like it is intended for you to be able to pass out from ability damage and recover after combat. It's just killing you instead for some reason...

Just going to say I also encountered this bug, with Harrim, who failed his saving throw 4 time in a row after a certain special something hit him with a poison attack. What was even worse was his +2 racial bonus to save was bugged and actually gave a +3.

I had to send him in instead of my alch because my alch was not benefiting from his +2 poison resistance feet, the whole reason I took that pick over a grenadier ( I dislike poison for its stat damageing cuteness )

Moral of the story. Game is bugged, check everything, THEN save your level up.

Loading screen says that any stat going to zero kills you, so its not a bug.

I think the reason for it is because there is no mechanic for "permanently in coma character" in the game, so its just easier for them to die and then be brought back to life than "Well ♥♥♥♥, they are in coma now and I run out of ability damage healing items"

Its kind of rediculous that they would just drop dead even when their health is totally fine, thankfully you can enable a option to get rid of the extreme amounts of perm stat lose by way of a single rest.

I think it kills you because that's how the game handles it. But if you have the option for Death's Door, or for party members to always get up after battle, it gives you 1 point back so you don't enter a "death spirtal" where the character gets up and instantly dies again.

On Death's Door, this would kill them. In the instance of "party members always get back up again", you'd enter a never ending loop where the character gets up, dies, gets up, dies, gets up, dies... which also means you couldn't ever leave the map, since they can't ever start walking to the area exit, so...

Well if the loading screen says it's supposed to kill you, then the tooltips in the character sheet as well as the encyclopedia are wrong. To me it seemed like they should recover to 1 Dex after combat just like you do if you drop to 0 HP and get 1 HP back after combat.
