Details on "digital module for board game adventures"

I didn't even know this game exists an hour ago, but as a fan of such games since the original Baldur's Gate, I'm very interested of course!

That said, the Steam frontpage is not very detailed and I don't understand the content of the "Royal Edition". Would somebody with the required knowledge please explain this "digital module for board game adventures" for me? Thx!

What this is is a module written by Chris Avalone for the table top version Pathfinder roleplaying system.

I don't know if there is a board game, I think it should mean a Table top roleplaying adventure for the pathfinder system/settings. Though could be wrong I've been out of touch with pathfinder products since mid 2017
