For the rest of your build you can do whatever you want because your character can now survive anything unfair throws at you. It's important to make sure you have all buffs in your party. That way your character will not need any gear till you meet golems/wild hunt.
Reach weapons are always great. They are a very resource friendly way to stay out of harm's way. I haven't used trip often so I cant say, but I always use reach +enlarge wherever I can
You know that this is a specific build meant to stay in melee from lvl 2 without dying. After a certain level it starts to solo the content fully buffed so late game is irrelevant.
There are other playstyles with more pets, summons, cc as buffer and melee on 2nd line if OP prefers that. The melee will still die if targeted if it doesn't have enough ac so I would not recommend going with a squishy build at any point of the game.
So, reach wep without trip works in unfair ? Go it. Monk and vivi dip not needed ? Perfect. I hated in NWN2 where pure classes were always extremely inferior to multi-classes anti roleplay bullcràp
What abour feats then ?
If you're going for the Unfair achievement without a pet Vivi will means less reloads because you get free AC and stats up front.
Scaled Fist?
Sacred Huntmaster is the one with the pet.
Maybe Sacred Fist from NWN 2. At least you got (almost) full spell progression :p
Also make sure you always take outflank on any mele class. Power attack also opens up things like cleave and such. I like cleave as well, but its a large investment. If you want to go down that path it's like 3 feats before it gets really good. It adds to micro management heavy because you will want to use it as a modal when enough enemies are near. But with reach and size bonus to range, it could be great.
Also you will benefit a lot more from combat reflexes.
I like Nobility Domain for early skill check help and Inspiring Command at lvl 8 for stacking AC/to hit bonus to team. WIS + 3 uses per rest.
