or falcatas?

Scimitar is a safe and good pick. As soon as pitax region open you can go and get Bear god scimitar. There is also a good one call divine intervention that is crafted by Nazrielle.

Falcata, if you have the Varnhold dlc it become a great choice for dps and Shaynih'a the Tulip craft one but sometime hard to get.

Longsword is for expert crafter that only specialize in the late game.

Bastard sword is also a great and safe but 2 companions can use them.

Heavy mace is the best for early to mid game.

Wrath is great if you build a Crusader with Animal Domain and Smilodon pet. Splash a level or two of Mad Dog for Martial Proficiency and Pet flanking.

so its better to not get weapon focus ealry and just use whatever i find.
prob heavy mace/scimitar then lions claw then late game the bears god wrath.

Depends on your build. Weapon focus is a Prerequisite for very good feats like shatter defenses, dazzling display , Dreadful Carnage that you would want as soon as possible.

Mostly yes, its better to avoid focus/specialization except for some type of weapon or class.

The good one to specialize early, in my opinion are: bastard sword*, falcata(if you have all dlc), greataxe, heavy mace, staff, long bow, crossbow, kukri, dagger, duel sword ...?

rapier, longsword, heavy flail, glaive, scimitar, flail ... are not the best but also not the worst choice

* there is a nice early bastard sword but no upgrade for a while and then at least 3 good one during pitax.

Weapon focus leads to penetration feats which can be very useful since the cold iron weapons in the base game are meh. bc of the penalties for two weapon fighting you'll want to stick to weapon groups with the least penalty.

Would be awfully silly to switch the Lion's Claw for Thundering Claw of the Bear (except vs golems I guess).

when is the earliset i can find a good falcata?
razvedchiki Oct 25, 2019 @ 3:38am
clue: this is a fantasy setting
also scimitars were used with shields.

clue:educate your self on the definition of fantasy and read some history.

Beneath the stolen land vendors have 2 +1 keen falcata during chap2.
I found a +2 keen while exploring chap3 but not sure where. South of Gudrin river?
+3 adamantine falcata chap 4 city of the hollow eyes
Late chap 4 lion claw
I have seen the Skeleton merchant with a +2 holy falcata during chap 3-4

If you upgrade Narlkeep to town and focus on upgrading Shaynih'a shop, her specific advisor to relation IV and her quest. You will then increase your odd of getting Fervent Edge: Falcata +3, furious, incinerating (2d6 fire). You could technically get it during or at the end of chap 3.

I usually pick a weapon right off the bat in character creation for my MC. One that makes sense for roleplaying purposes. Like my most recent was a druid with a long spear.

wait, actuale there was none

sorry

Clue: Fantasy is not the same as nonsense. Fantasy means how rich your story can be without any bounds. Thats fantasy. Shielded Scimitar is pure oposite to fantasy. Its Antifantasy.
I'm pretty sure sipahi used shields and scimitars in addition to their light lances.

Hell the wiki picture of timariots show a period sipahi with bow, scimitar, and shield.

Whatever history books you have been reading isn't complete. Even Eastern horsemen used shields.
