Good Archer Build?
Hello again.

Im intrested in a ranger and i read a lot and watched some guides.

The most common informations are that either Eldritch Archer 2 /Ranger 15 / Scared Huntsman 3/ Vivi 3 are the most effective builds.

But what about the pure ranger? More archenemies and terrain and lvl 20 ability?

Is the difference between pure ranger and some with multi-classing that big or just min/maxing?

I wouldn't count on getting lvl 20 ability. You will most likely not reach the max lvl in this game. Starting abilities and mid lvl abilities are the ones that matter most.

If you like pure ranger, then go for it.

Personally I prefer a fighter archer because there are so many feats a archer can get to make themselves better and the weapon training is nice for bonus to hit and damage.

Something I have done before though is because I dont like the fighter look is take 1 level ranger then the rest in fighter.

If you want a TRUE Archer, AKA one that doesn't need or rely on a pet, Fighter is the way to go. This is the build I use and it is VERY good. Currently confronting the Skylark after he stole the shiny.

Without a doubt, a great build since it can be done with tons of Strength for Longbows or Dexterity. Meaning you can use it for some melee in niche times.

Another option I like is Ranger 16 Rogue 4. Adds 2D6 (or 3d6 with feat) SA damage and debilitating injury, which is a -4 AC debuff after the first hit (effective +4 to hit after first for a loss of 1BAB). Also gets full animal companion levels with boon companion...

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥...
That only happens when you skip on side quests. I reached the final area at lvl 20

Actually this really happened when the game was first released. But with all the DLC and extra encounters added to the base version, it's really hard to not get lvl 20 now...

Vivi is absolutely awful on a ranged character. You waste pretty much everything Mutagens give you while still having to pay the penalty. Vivi is melee full stop.

No, it doesn’t. Ranger is a late pet class. You’ve got one non-pet level to play with.

Two-weapon Ranged Slayer. If you want pet bring Ekun too.

EA2, Eldritch Scoundrel 16 (+ vivi 2 if you want which also gives +1 advanced rogue feat when taken after rogue 10, or 2 more ES levels instead if you get to 20)
-8AB, -8AC double debilitate, dispelling strike, crippling strike
Hurrican Bow, 6d6 Sneak dice + 5d6 sense vitals, Wizard spell list (better than magus spell list)

Pure ranger is a great choice, no jokes. I believe dip in Edtritch Archer 2 makes it even better, but it has it's pros and cons.
Recomendation: never forget about the Instant Enemy spell. It's the secret of Ranger's power.

Straight Scoundrel 16 is very solid. The big AB malus is only against you so shouldn’t often come into play, but the AC malus lets you use Deadly Aim.

Full BAB class for last four levels gets you to four base attacks. You can start with one Divine Hunter level for a Smite, Precise, and Martial Prof and later add another for CHA to saves.

Just say no to Vivi. Zero BAB is bad. You’re already getting the Sneaks from Rogue for goodness sake.

Stats are cheap, levels are scarce.

Straight Ranger is very good. EA is bad because late pet is main liability and it accentuates it.
