Well, that sucks.
I made a Neutral Good Druid that intentionally went Chaotic Good in chapter 2 specifically to spare and recruit Tartuk as a vassal then went back to Neutral Good. Sure, it REALLY sucked to lose my spells when I HAVE NOT cleared the scythe tree area... but it was worth from a story standpoint.
2. Be Caotic.
3. Kill the troll king first: acid, lots of acid.
