The more goodie-two-shoes you are at wiping out bad guys (evil dragons/bandits/cultists), while saving common folk and "unlikely innocents" and allies, the more likely you are to get a certain "deal" at the end. A deal that allows for an early reunion with the Varnhold General in the main game. Completing all content also helps so make sure you "truly" explore everything on every map.
Though the way it mocks Maegar Varn after you help it was worth the effort. Blue dragons love their deals.
