Will they ever fix Octavia?

Im so tired of her NOT using her +1 shock bow and casting that worthless acid level 0 spell. Auto cast is off and she still uses it.

Is there any fix for this? (and no I do not want to use that 0 level undead spell as it wasts time in combat, nor do I care if anyone thinks that acid spell is good, I WANT her to use her freakin box, how do I force her to do this, if owlcat wont fix her)

also turning off AI isnt an option either as she just stops attacking then altogether. just use the freakin bow already.

I gave her darts and all ok. Mb this problem only with bows?

darts? hmmm I seem to have a +2 flaming dart. Ill try it. thanks.

Last I checked, setting Charge to auto-cast will force her to use her bow, unless they 'fixed' that.

I haven't tried it myself, but I read that if you equip a wand and auto cast it, then unequip it she wont auto cast acid splash anymore. Maybe see if that works?

She uses the acid splash because it does the most damage (over a bow) against the worst AC with her pre-made build, which adds sneak attack damage to it (class feature of the prc).
That was the stand of affairs earlier this year, probably still is the same?

She dumb. if you give her a set of torches she will run and try to harm them dual wield style, and never hit. if you give her a shield to boost her ac, she will run and swing that beast of a sword. but give her a bow, and she ignores it entirely, and just casts that damn acid splash.


Best advice i can give is set her to autocast something, when it gets to zero charges she might start using bow.

Actully you will deal more damage with acid splash than with the bow bcs its much easier to hit touch ac then full ac if dont respec her into some warrior class.Considering sneak atacks she gets with default build you will get MUCH more damage with acid splash

Auto casting a empty spell slot will fix it.. she is going to use her regular attack bow or whatever her weapon is.

First.She gets this high ab and attacks number only endgame.When you have so much spells that you will rarely(if ever) need to attack with her bow.Not counting that her third attack is pretty much useless even then.And she can barely hit stronger variation of monster with her first
Second.What the point of discussing low difficulty where you can walk through game using just autoattack with any weapon.

Wait few more years, maybe devs will implement some sort of AI editor. But ocnsidering the sort of patches they release, it will be many years. And even then, who knows if they are even competent enough to code soemthing like that.
