A druid build need some advise...

at this moment : level 7 i have a 4 mens party and it's nice on Hard :



full custom char



A dex tank

a battle cleric ( offtank-healer-support)

a ranged bard ( CC-dmg dealer-support )

a sylvan sorcerer + pet ( CC-dmg dealer )



but i dislike to play with pet !



i was thinking to build a druid without pet



Respect the sylvan sorcerer by a pure sorcerer

and this druid replace the pet !

a dmg dealer druid in shapeshift with a few survability :



1 level monk

4 level rogue

the rest in druid

( not especially this order )



Do you think it's a good idea ?

The Druid class is one of the best damage dealer in game. I think sticking to full Druid class is better on hard difficulty.
One more advise , try the grease spell with the conjurtion spell focus feat and web spell.
They will help you a lot

Yes with the sorcerer grease web and stinking cloud are absolute amazing for the Cc ( and with the cleric i Summon some skeleton in the cloud its nice too).
But i want some advise for the build for a druid dmg dealer without pet

Thanks but no. I dont think this Guy have good build. Sorry.
I see some playground of him. And its 6 mens party with six pet... 12 char. An army. I really dislike this kind of party. 12 mens party. Lol.

My first play thru had a Merc Druid Archer and it did very well. Was focused mostly on shooting the heck out of everything and buffing when needed. Backup heals and Ranged spell damage when needed (The wriggy man never knew what hit him...)

4 level of rogue will greatly cripple your druid and shifter are not Damage Dealer..

Your group need a killer, a heavy damage dealer.

Shifters with Pounce can absolutely be a damage dealer. You can use Legendary Proportions with Shapeshifting. Smilodon + Sneaks could work, but you can do that without Druid at all. Casters do better staying single-classed if possible with maybe a level of Monk or something.

I did a blight druid mele dps build and it was a lot of fun. I transformed a lot, and it was pretty effective. I did all druid, no dips, and it was on unfair. Spells are still important though. I used long spear so I wouldnt voke any AoOs when casting. There are some pretty OP spells. Specifically the ones that spawn thorns on the ground. It made the goblin village/fortress so much fun lol
