Vordakai Tomb and multiple Astradaemons fight
Any tips about this one? Since, from what I heard, Tomb will be closed after finishing the mission, I assume that this is the one and only time for that.

I face one massive problem here - fear effect. For most of the time my party is basically frozen in place due to fear effect with one or two members actually capable of doing something. As a result, they ultimately die without being able to kill all the enemies. Yes, I buff them up beforehand but aside from Heroism, Blessing and Aid, I cant recall other buffs for covering countering fear effects.

I assume that there is some sort of hidden solution for this fight - what kind of?

That's a difficult one. I usually just brute force past the fear. Did you end up bringing tristian? Touch of good is invaluable in this fight. The hardest part of the fight is the very beginning where you get 2 touch of death (I think that's the name) attacks on your main tank, where it's a 1 shot if you fail the save. If you save both, then the demons will have a decent cooldown time before they use it again. Make sure you burst them down asap. Grease will help you get that done. Try spamming grease on them to keep them down and debuffed. Also make sure you glitter dust (I think that was the spell name) them so you dont miss to their displacement

No hidden solution that I ever found (unless your not using death ward). It's just the hardest fight in the game

i'm confused as the remove fear or unbreakable heart are usually more than enough

Bring a Pal. Cast Aura of Greater Courage.

That’s the only time I’ve fought them. Blessing is more valuable.

Game has too many anti-Fear/anti-Evil/Outsider measures. Use them.

Remove fear has to be recasted in this case, because its an aura. Spamming it will help, but imo, spamming touch of good is better for this one. At least early on. The fight lasts long enough that you will exhaust your removed fears long before the end. unless you mean for the fear resistance, in which case it wasnt really enough for my team to avoid the fear reliably. But it should def be up

Okay so I managed to do it thanks to mass version of that anti-fear blessing (6 level spell) or just plain luck with rolls - this time around half of my party was off thanks to fear effect but it was enough for sorcerer to provide meat shields in form of skeletal champions. Hardest fight I had so far to be honest.

Well done. Undead (including Jaethal) are good against Demons/Undead. Create Undead is a nice spell for that one.

I just reloaded and walked away from that one. Thanks but no thanks, I said. It doesn't surprise me it's the hardest fight in the game. A trophy fight if ever there was one, I'd say.

It’s not the hardest fight in the game lol. It does use a bunch of spells that otherwise rot in your spellbook and/or Paladin abilities that are underutilized elsewhere.

Demons are vulnerable to a lot of things Undead aren’t, and Death Ward stops a lot that makes them scary.

I have no doubt at all that you are correct. I did have two other reasons for walking away: a) I didn't want to use up a rest as at that stage 'cos I did not know how long the dungeon would continue for or what I might meet (and these demons sure didn't inspire confidence in that respect) and b) I was getting to the stage were I really wanted this dungeon to be good and over already by then, find out what was happening in the kingdom etc, that was my priority.

But, yeah, next time I tackle this dungeon I shall remember your words.

I’d rather you remember these:

The EXP and loot are piddly.

Passive bonuses are irreplaceable.

Pick your battles.

Well, I won't be remembering those 'cos they could mean anything.

They mean you get more from not fighting the Demons than from fighting them. You have to use the previous altars to do so (get the passive bonus).

The easiest way is to say to him that you are invited here. Then, equip the earth of Ira with one of your caracter and take the other far away. Activate the earth of Ira and wait. The daemon will stay here and die after a moment.
