Ditto for the Shambling Mound as with Callistropsia.
Cephal meanwhile would need a Resurrection spell, because even if you got to him in time (and we can't tell how long it's been since he was killed), Raise Dead specifically can't do anything to someone who's been raised as undead.
And thus, it -does- in fact make sense ingame. Granted high-level divine casters should be able to acquire spells like Resurrection and True Resurrection, or even Miracle (or it's arcane cousin, Wish) that could do what you want, but those aren't included in the game, so them's the breaks. Raise Dead has it's limitations.
But i have Resurrection, that's why asked about the Resurrection spell...
I double checked - Eldritch Arcana is the only mod that adds spells and it doesn't add Resurrection.
