Resurrection Spell
Does it have any NPC interactions (i.e. Swamp Witch's Hut, The Elven Shambling Mound, Cephal ), or are the developers dead-set on keeping tearjerks tearjerky, even if it makes no sense ingame?

Wouldn't work at the Swamp Witch's Hut due to victim being turned into a plant monster if you mean Callistropsia, nor with Nyta because she's likely been dead a -lot- longer than Raise Dead's limitation of one day/caster level. You would need True Resurrection for Callistropsia, and Resurrection for Nyta.

Ditto for the Shambling Mound as with Callistropsia.

Cephal meanwhile would need a Resurrection spell, because even if you got to him in time (and we can't tell how long it's been since he was killed), Raise Dead specifically can't do anything to someone who's been raised as undead.

And thus, it -does- in fact make sense ingame. Granted high-level divine casters should be able to acquire spells like Resurrection and True Resurrection, or even Miracle (or it's arcane cousin, Wish) that could do what you want, but those aren't included in the game, so them's the breaks. Raise Dead has it's limitations.

I thought the only one available was Raise Dead (a level 5 cleric spell), but -not- Resurrection which is a level 7 spell? Huh..

I double checked - Eldritch Arcana is the only mod that adds spells and it doesn't add Resurrection.
