Traits are different, but nothing too insane for the most part
There IS some though, at least for religious classes, where you can chime in about the tenets of your god. I know that a Cleric/Inqusitor of Asmodeous gets some, though very little, dialog like that with Jhod.
Thats actually really good to hear. I was thinking adding respec would be an enormous buff to your party because you can then change your characters to fit the part of the story you are in. Im glad it wont hurt the balance of higher difficulties
. . . I really should do a full playthrough one day with a Cleric or Inquisitor just to find out how much dialog like this there is. I don't know how to dig through the files to find diety checks so that would be only way to be sure. Why do you presume it was an early development thing?
I don't have inside knowledge ofc, but it's usually how such things happen.
