How in the hell did Arcanum rank 4? And there is way too much fallout. I have a hard time taking the ranking seriously after that lol. I think they ranked Fallout so high because of how downhill its gone, and not for its content. It feels bias to see them all up there.

It's a pretty weird list, huh. Well, I like that some of my favorite games are ranked pretty high. :P (System Shock 2, Vampire Masquerade: Bloodlines, and Baldur's Gate 1-2)

Ya, this list looks like its just different people asked to name their favorite RPG until they reached 100. Saying its top 100 is click bait to me. Too much is missing. Im sure it will be a great place of reference for a lot of people though. Just some wild opinions in there imo

I think they did a survey and people just voted on what they think is the best game. Maybe, idk.

This is probably mine, but it could change if I can remember one I liked better. Putting DA:O in 5 feels wrong to me

2) Final Fantasy tactics

RPGCodex is a ridiculously edgy/geek site.

But I don't have a lot of problems with the list. Mass Effect 2 is a much better game than the first one. Skyrim is not on the list but Oblivion is? Oblivion feels like souless trash now. Jagged Alliance 2 is a great game but not much of an rpg. I know System Shock generally makes these lists, but not an rpg to me. Atom, meh.

The lack of final fantasy is just shocking though. A top 100 without a single final fantasy is a joke to me. Those games pioneered hardware updates translating into RPGs multiple times
