you gotta move your units around to avoid his aoe, it is annoying
I focused the weak spawns whenever they were up
cleric constant aoe heal ability, was running back and forth because my units were spread out to avoid aoe, another reason has to be hasted
it will take a lot of tries, took me ~20 before I got a bunch of lucky crits and won before he healed ( I think the smaller units heal him?)
I summon spammed with custom heroes druid and inquisitor-monstertact, think my party was mc(2Hfighter) amiri, tristian, customdruid, custominquistor, and linzi for buffs
I've ignored the small adds thus far (I've just used Stinking Cloud on them) but if they indeed buff/heal the Spawn then I'll try killing them. Thanks.
Grandmaster Rod + Death Clutch x3 (from Harrim) didn't do anything. :( Maybe they've changed it, or it works differently in main campaign?
Shield of law* Lvl 8 cleric spell
* the spawn is chaotic? .. anyway look at those alignment spell lvl8.
I'm leaving the fight for now, maybe I'll try again at party lvl 18 or so. Or bring 5 kineticists. Thanks anyway, everyone.
go afk .. he should be dead in 1min
Rovagug is basically the incarnation of Chaotic Evil, so yeah the spawn is as chaotic and evil as it gets.
I did it in the main campaign. It is possible that they have changed it, or that the spawn succeeded at its fortitude save. Did you check the log? The spawn does have a pretty high fortitude save so this tactic might only work if you have high DC on necromancy spells.
But I did manage to kill the Spawn, finally, with my original party. I just kept repeating what I already did before I made this thread: fully buffed my party, tried to avoid its slam attacks, hoped for lucky RNG. And after maybe 20+ tries I got lucky enough to kill it.
What an unfun fight - a fight against RNG.
Necro Question: How did you get past the Fortitude Save of 40+?
A evil wizard necromancer/1 vivi + Brokken masterpiece + foods, can easily reach over 45+ dc on is necro spell.
