Shared XP
Im thinking about playing a game with shared XP on, so I can use all the companions interchangeably. Anyone do this with all the companions in party? im guessing overall XP would be close to half. Or does the XP requirements ramp up enough at the end for it to not be that bad? Id be fine with ending at 17 or 16, but 15 would be pushing it. I want to try to do every companion quest in the game.

Unfair difficulty BTW

Its only worth turning off if you have less than 6 people in your active party.

With XP share on, everyone gets 1/6 of the total experience, even if you have 12 companions. You should reach about level 17.

Yeah I never bothered with it after hearing how the math worked. I always run with a full group.
I use the xp slider mod, but the settings set so it's pretty much the same xp until like level 12, then starts to slowely ramp up a little, mainly so that it doesn't become overpowered, but so I can enjoy capstone abilities a little sooner.

Did you finish a game with it?

I just got out of the prologue, and im regretting not checking the only active companions receive xp checkmark. im about to fight the tigers at level 1 lol. Yay

Its probably best to keep it on until you beat the prologue >.<

Not yet. But most of the complaints prior to them increasing xp near the end of the game was only reaching 17. I might tune my settings a little less because I'm presuming with the settings I have that I'd reach 20 a touch too early.

Ya it would be nice to see lvl 20 once on someone other than linzi lol (or whoever is your persuasion person)

I like not reaching cap, but I also dislike it at the same time. I think I prefer games that reach cap maybe 3/4 through. That way you get to use your full leveled characters for a while.

If you play solo (with famring the dungeon from stolen lands) you will reach level 20 in chapter 6.

Ya I was considering a solo run. IDK what I would want to be though. I imagine either a vivisectionist, or a scroll savant

Just got level 20 on the first floor of House at the end of time with a group of 4. That give me plenty of time to play with those lvl20 builds.

Its my best and my most fun run ever. No share xp is the best :)
