Though I think it would have made sense if there were an 'Extra Mutagen' feat that let you use it an extra time per day for every time you took it. (similar to the extra channel, etc feats)
Level 14 - persistent Mutagen (1h/level) on top of Greater & Grand (+True) Mutagen)
... ^.^
[one-hit wonder or 10 minute multiclasses often have a harder time, if you consider buff duration+power ...]
edit: do people even read, what their class has to offer or do they just blindly copy & paste builts, that someone posted and more people copied so it went famous and just because..? Single classes are uttermost strong up to challenging...srsly
please post a video of you clearing Vordekai, Armags, Lamashtu, Pitax + other stuff within 10 minutes each..thank you very much! I can do all of them without ever considering a rest...
Most encounters with a few exceptions are nonsense anyway, to even considered to be a challenge for 10 minute stuff....just saying
as I've already mentioned above - challenging...and if I've to buff my pet, which racks up 70+AC as well. With the current AI that is .. first comes..first to serve...
must be, because of 'challenging' and 'unfair' are 2 different things...?
(and challenging is really easy sometimes...compared to my last runs in oct/sep 2018 and things were made super easy as well...teleport anyone?)
You could try rereading my post more carefully. I said "a lot of encounters" not "every map". If you only have 1 level of alchemist by the time you're clearing those zones, you've taken a 1 level dip to unlock various benefits but it's not the core of your character. Pop it when you need that extra boost, just as you pop the shorter duration 1 minute/lvl and 1 round/lvl stuff when you need them. If you want to have all your buffs up for the entire map then yes, for the biggest zones, you'll have to rest or rely on scrolls and pots. If you've taken more than 1 level of alchemist it won't be your alchemist buff running out first.
