Essential Purchases?
Hey peeps, I see some amazing(ly expensive) items in stores around the place, are any of them essential or will I find better things in the world?

I remember from BG2 my first purchase would always be the Beholder reflection shield which made things much easier for that quest.

does it have a +4/+5 on it or you're buying it above 10th level? Then yes you wont find better

On the other hand... you kinda need to "survive" until you reach those items so you might need it regardless

I wouldn't call them essential, but the various Bags of Holding available throughout the game, and the +5 Perception goggles and +5 Trickery gloves you can pick up at your capital make life vastly easier, I find.

Any shop really, things to keep a look out for. In BG2 there was a shop that had ultra unique items you wouldn't find in the world, was wondering if there was something like this or if I could just find things in the world instead.

Thanks! I've noticed these bags at least and started buying a few!

As they say.. Trapspringer's gloves, eyes of the eagle, small bag of holding, a rope , crowbar and
sadly the most essential to save your money for is Builds Points. The more BP you have, the better.
