Spells don't affect your alignment at all, only one spell scroll does.
It resets your main character alignment, think it was called Atonement

In PnP, the spell alignment is a restriction. Good aligned characters can't cast spells with evil description.
In the videogame, I think it does nothing.

PnP its DM's choice. We always did it that casting such things was an alignment hit. Good people don't summon some things unless the situation is no other way out. Good people don't suck levels/age/health/etc out of someone (its considered lifeforce/evil). Evil is hard to say, an evil person will heal someone to get ahead, summon anything to enslave/force it to comply (even goodly summons/request summons), and so on. Neutrals doing evil stuff too often should start to take hits. But its RPG there. Its bot DM AI here, and they don't fool with these details.

The alignment restriction, by the rules, apply only to clerics, If I remember well

"Her alignment, however, may restrict her from casting certain spells opposed to her moral or ethical beliefs; see Chaotic, Evil, Good, and Lawful Spells."
