damage reduction 2
I think it's the opposite: Damage Reduction 2, bypassed by melee.
In general you will see for exemple DR 5 / adamantine or DR 10 / holy. The thing after the / is the type of damage or material that bypasses the DR and deal full damage.
If you see DR /- it means nothing can bypass the DR.
traditionally that's how it works. Like DR5/magic, simply means all damage is reduced by 5 except anything magical in nature, like wizard spells and magic weapons. Its an interesting mechanic I use to have fun with in my old table top days. Never say never on bypassing DR/- attributes though, there are items that are made to bypass DR, such as shadow enchanted weapons(extremely rare though). Not sure how close this game follows table top rules/items, granted.
