Full Game Time Limit?
I know some quests and chapters have time limits. But does the entire game have a time limit similar to Sid Mier's Pirates? In that game you had a limited amount of time to complete all objectives before it forcefully retire you. Is this game like that?

Yes. AS you very chapter has time limit on main quest if you ignore it for to long you kingdom fails and its game over.

Only per main quest.

If it tells you have 3 months to kill the bandit Lord, after 3 months you lose regardless of how many sidequests you made

4-4.5 years. The variability depends on how long you are able to withstand the progressively more powerful final chapter threat that will eventually kill your kingdom if you don't go and deal with the source (like the every chapter's threats)

More than enough to max all kindomstats and visit all places. In my current game i am still chapter 6, all is max and all finish, need only wait for the assault and still 100 days left.

Same on my 2nd play-through. I had absolutely nothing left to do, so I clicked the wait button for 3 months.

This was before DLC 3 though, and I obviously saved some time by knowing there everything was.

Actually you can swim in gold in this game. You need only Jeathal and a certain artifact. Use it on Jeathal, remove curse, fail it twice and you get a fight. This guy drop a swort which gives 60K gold, and you can reapeat it (best with flask/scrolls as they do not succeed aiganst that high dc of the curse)
Jeathal ore Linzi can not die, so they are best for this task.Oh, and you get 11K xp, per run too.
And of course the new dungeon adds some gold and a bit xp too. Still i found it a little bit small for an endless dungeon.

I'm not really sure where the gold talk came from. I had over 2 million by the end, so I didn't need to do any exploiting stuff.

And yea, the dungeon is more for stand alone. It's really fun for testing builds.

Ugh, I thought just the Bandit quest in the start was timed. I hate having time limits. I wish I read this beforehand. Maybe I'll pass on the game and do a return after all. I am not very good at these games and I just like to take my time with everything.

There are no time limits in the game after chapter 1, in the same way that there are no time limits in a fight. So, if you stand there and do nothing, you will get murdered. I don't understand how this is a massive deal for everyone.

People like to explore and travel and my guys fatigue non-stop and it takes my highest lore guy 14 hours to find rations....so time seems to be going very quickly for me, but i havent even found much gear upgrades. The concern is that you feel rushed to find better gear and be ready for the fights you need to get to. Probably for most not a big deal, those not good at these games but still enjoy them may get there unprepared and have to start over. I havent gotten to that point yet, but just what I think the concern with time would be.

So not sure how many chapters there are, but only main storeline quests in chapter 1 are timed, the rest is go at your own pace? That aint so bad, I thought it was the whole game that was timed

There's a main event e.g. Stag Lord, then a pause for you to do stuff, then a main event you need to deal with, then a pause, then a main event etc. After Troll Trouble you should not feel rushed, but it's not going to let you just sit around getting your kingdom stats up to max before a new threat arises.
