How do you beat the Fallen Priestess
She has a pervasive aura of fear and perma confusion. She has a virtually unlimited amount of CC spells and DD spells. To top it off her AC is really high due to barkskin and other buffs. Whats the strategy?

everything is solved by higher level...even the end boss in that area. well maybe not the spawn on hard/unfair....there you actually have to optimize party somewhat.

like for instance a high level mage can probably one shot a bunch of those encounters with a maximized high level (7-9) spell.

that area is also inside your kingdom, so if you do some kingdom cards that give you a bunch of immunities to fear/compulsion effects this is not even an issue.

against fear there is a priest/bard spell at level 1. against compulsion I think you need mind blank which is a pretty high level spell.

Is her fortitude save low? Try Stinking cloud on her and Delay Poison, Communal on your team

Or reflex low grease/ice prison

I have not met her yet in the main story ..only in the DLC

Chain Lightning worked wonders for me, just open with two of those and focus her with everyone else, the small fry around her will be cooked from the lightning already.

I don't have a problem with the little gobs. I can lure them out and the melees can tear them to shreds. The problem is the Priestess herself. The fear, confusion and hold spam is constant. To make matters worst, she always goes after Victoria and vaporize my main DPS mage at the start of every encounter.

Oh BTW I'm playing the DLC dungeon as apart of the main story and I'm fighting her with a lvl 11 party.

Killed her yesterday in roguelike mode. Stinking cloud was the best option. If I remember right, it wasn`t me who cast it (goblins?), but it stunned Priestess to the death. Easy hunt.

She was a bit of a hassle to beat when I ran into her with my main campaign party. I think I was about level 10 or 11. I found my old favorites worked very well. Haste, remove fear, bless and communal stone skin pre battle, and then just sending my pets in from multiple directions. That way she cast her annoying pit into the corner of the room and all her disintegrate spells were wasted on my pets, all the while my casters were able to kill her with a few castings of boneshatter.

I have to admit she was much harder than the first boss who I hadn't even realised I had found until I got the quest popup saying he was dead.

Necro I know. In case someone like me had a hard time with that fight.

At level 10 I was trying to lure the goblins in another room then kill them all fast so I could be alone with the priestess after, but then when she arrived she was almost impossilble to hit and no spell I had seem to work on her then she pit my back line, confuse my martials, disintegrating for 200+ etc etc...it was hell.

But she is vulnerable in the very start, so first make invisible your trap remover guy/gal and go disarm the trap.

Then when you start the fight dont let her buff herself just go in full buffed/hasted and zerg her with all you got, she was dead before Octavia finish casting stinking cloud... lol.

Wow, thank you so much, after a dozen failed attempt your strategy worked flawlessly. So simple, just deny her the time to buff. Yeah!

She has low fortitude. I prebuffed with haste, bless, shield, protection from poison, etc., entered the room and immeadiately had my magus (main) cast stinking cloud and Octavia cast cloudkill.

Stinking cloud makes them nauseated and thus unable to do anything but move every turn but the cloud filled the entire room so there is no escape. Cloudkill does continuous constitution damage. And I threw down a blade barrier with Tristan for a bit of overkill. Then I just had Ekun snipe and Tristan/octavia/the magus lob fireballs.

In the end the goblins died off very quickly and the priestess just stood their nauseated with her constitution score slowly ticking down to 0.

I beat this with a lvl 10 Campaign party. I had my pally, Valerie, the bard halfling, Amiri, the ranger, a homemade cleric. I put on haste, bless and every other buff you can run. I used an invis potion on my bard so I could disarm the trap in the room the evil cleric is in. As soon as the trap was disarmed, I bum rushed the evil cleric with my whole party, ignoring the goblins for now. You have to kill her before she buffs the hell out of herself pretty much. After starting a buff song with my bard, I had her spam target Magic Dispel on the evil cleric to remove anything she could put down on herself. With my tower shield fighter, Barb, Pally, Ranger & his wolf and a cleric with a +3 Mace, she had an impossible time getting any spells off. She died in 5 seconds or so. My party just AI targeted the goblins down and the fight was ultra easy doing it this way. When I say I buffed up, I mean I used everything. I ran Barkskin, Aid, Bless, Prayer, Haste, Prot from Evil Communal, etc. I used every type of buff in my inventory. I kitchen sinked it after wiping 3 times due to trying to kite all of the goblins back into the room before the cleric's. That's a terrible strat I realized because it gave the cleric time to cast every buff on herself she wanted to. If you bumrush her, she's the weakst she's ever going to be. Good Luck!

A lot of the high AC enemies tend to be vulnerable to either touch attacks or flat-footed attacks. Alchemists and Kineticists (unless they also have high SR) destroy the enemies who are weak against touch attacks. An Arcane Trickster with Impromptu Sneak Attack or Magus with Prescient Attack can target flat-footed AC. You can try Shatter Defenses and Greater Invisibility against flat-footed AC as well, but quite a few of tougher enemies are either immune to fear and/or have true sight (Dragons, Flytraps, Devourers). It's a good idea to have someone in the party who hit whatever you're fighting in its Achilles heel.

IIRC, the Fallen Priestess has a low touch AC, so Jubilost will destroy her.

That is why I use spells like boneshatter, even if the enemy makes all it's saving throws damage and status effects are still inflicted, thus weakening it for the next attack.

I used Cloudkill then just waited a while.

I had to use a variation on yours since this strategy with invis didn't work. You guys managed to disarm a trap while invisible? Because as soon as I click on the trap, with or without ranged ledgermain, I set everyone on me. I could not make it work no matter what. So what did I do?

It was a lot messier, since I insiv'd my strongest character (me) and just ran up to the priestess and whacked her once then quickly turned on turn-based mode. After that I just had all my melee guys charge onto her (attacks of opp. from the goblins be darned) and whittled her down. She still had 31AC though, so I had to wait for lucky rolls and use that freebooter's bond trick with some flanking just to BARELY squeak out a win with Ekundayo and Amiri being the only ones left alive to mop the goblins up.

So how are you guys disarming the trap in there while invis without aggro'ing the entire army on you as soon as you click it?
