Ivan quest question
Read in a guide that he's supposed to give me his stuff, including a belt I was looking forward to, but he didn't? Is it not actually supposed to happen or did I make a wrong dialogue choice or something?

If you kill him, you get his items. Outside of that he's just happy to not die by your hand and leaves.

Huh. Guide said that you get his stuff either way. Oh well, I'd rather have the exp anyway

You mean Ivar? Don't know about his stuff, but if spared he'll also make a brief appearance (quite a ways further) into the story, offering a bit of help with a fight.
