Is this for real?
Need haaaalppp!

I'm doing Tenebrous depths, my party is level 14 and I'm facing up against a level 33 Greater Autumn Golemn? This thing has so many friggin immunities I literally forget what I'm reading half way through, it's got 512 HP's, 20 resist to every element and 38 AC.
It's immune to every spell I throw at it, including any terrain effects like greese and pit spells. Just how the hell am I supposed to take this thing out?

Also, it put contsricting vines on my Monk, how do I get rid of this, says its permanent? I'm taking my time with this (love you turn based mod!), but I'm afraid I'm going to die a horrendous death.

Thanks for advice!

I'm not sure they're immune to Grease. U just need to Heighten it so pass their high Reflex saves. There are different version of them, there are also some greater autumn golems etc.

Anyhow they're Plants so negative energy, Enervate, some Horrid Wilting with extra sneak work fine. Bombs as always work wonders as is giant weapons hitting strong with true strikes.

Oh, just wait till 25+. Stupid golems spamming their rainbows that spread insanity, balefull polymorphs and instagibs everywhere. Last time i had greater golems on 30th floor. With Captor&Captive pair. Stupid hell.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, this made me laugh uncontrollably. "This thing has so many friggin immunities I literally forget what I'm reading half way through" Ahahaha, good luck man.

Well I managed to kill it, though I didn't get any satisfaction from it. What an annoying fight. If I get to those rainbow golems you're talking about I think I'll just retire my party (If i don't die before then). Oh btw, It's immune to grease too (immune to all terrain effects). Tried it :( though it works like a champ on those Mud Golems.

Yeah summer golems feature some serious immunities, as do Golden Golems, sometimes they are not even in their Inspect. Generally stuff which ignores magic resist works best.
pinkfloyd9193 Jun 30, 2019 @ 9:37am
What spells though? All the ones that ignore magic resist do mediocre dmg (which is absorbed by their resisists, 20 resist to acid/cold/light/fire/sonic). I think Acid Fog could have worked, now thinking about it. I was afraid of hurting my own party, but with communal resist acid it may have worked. Still don't know if it would do enough due to the 20 acid res.

Only way I was able to win was my Paladin and Fighter hackin'g away at it very very slowly, my monk died early on to that bloody constricting vines which I couldn't get rid of. It was just a chore to fight which is why I didn't feel very satisified when it died. To each their own I guess, appreciate the advice!

If there are any Adamantine weapons around they should go right through the Damage Reduction.

For example Caustic Eruption. Battering Blast sometimes also works because it's Force Damage. But not on everything. Bombs are great of course.

If you're playing main campaign u can also use Irlene's mega rod.

Nothing goes around DR/-.

If the Damage Reduction is actually DR/- then only a Golembane Scarab will do, assuming it's even in the game.

Maybe Paladin goes through it too if it's not a golem and is evil as well.

But stuff like +4 weapons or fighter Penetrating Strike doesn't seem to work against DR/-. So yeah golems are pretty annoying, especially those which do not fall on Heightened Grease.

The bane ability of an Inquisitor or Magus helps against them.

Golems used to be completely immune to magic except 3 spells (different for each golem type). These are way easier.

The pummeling style feat of the monk goes through DR x/-, as well as clustered shot.

I'm about 35 levels in and am facing the Greater Autumn Golems in packs of 4+. They are wiping my group with a vengeance. Fortunately I have a lot of money, so I can afford my current tactic of my Magus just chain casting Ressurection scrolls as they kill my front-liners, and if a bad series of stuns happen, my Cleric just runs away while the party dies then comes back to Raise Dead on them all. Its just incredibly tedious and not fun. Any tips would be appreciated.

Current team: Aldori Swordlord, Ranged Cleric, Dual Wielding Slayer, Knife Master Rogue, Eldritch Scion, and Crossbow Ranger. They have been mopping the floor with every other encounter (including Iron/Golden/Adamantine Golems) except the Greater Autumn ones.

Once again, the best strategies in this game are a crystal ball and reloading back at the castle.
