How to get high AC?

Power gamers out there. What are some ways you can get high AC?

First things first: Don't go around naked.

Buffing your dex is an easy way to get 2 AC early on if you use a fighter or lighter armor

Dodge, armor focus, shield focus feats

Barkskin, shield of faith, reduce person potions/spells

Mirror images, displacement, blur for shadows

Heavy armor for early game. Heavy armor is really great, but drops off to mid to late game. Naked monks will always out AC a heavy armor user, period. There's a reason for that. The items the developers give the player are just that ridiculous. Hence naked monks being far superior. They won't beat a heavy armor user in the early levels though.

Generally speaking though? Neither. Mirror image is the end all be all.

The above is for the nicely named 'Untouchable Tank' build. It's a mix of primarily Aldori Defender and Duelist for tanking. At level 20, I believe full buffs, and in the best gear possible he's at 62. Might be able to get higher, not sure, but you can tell it's pretty h*ckin' good. I enjoy him for tanking, but my one annoyance is that he isn't extremely healthy.

1 Scaled Fist | 4 Thug | 7 Duelist | 8 Aldori Defender

I forgot to mention, but Sword Saints are also another contender for stacking high AC.

I'd give a little more Con, otherwise I hope you enjoy very frequent camping. Unless this is minmaxing at literally all costs

Mobility 3 + fighting defensively + dodge + crane style(+ Improved Unarmed Strike) = 5ac
Focus armor + shield focus = 2ac .... good at low level become less and less good over time
Shield wall duo = 2ac
Reduce person + barskin + shield of faith
Combat expertise
......

At higher level legendary proportion will give you a big boost

+6 S/D/C Belt gives enough of a boost to make it not a massively squishy avoidance tank

1 level in Scaled fist monk ( AC from charisma which is a good MC stat), crane feats etc while leveling but no need to put more levels in monk. Sword saint is good as it was suggested. ( but not the only option)

End game has a lot of touch attacks, so pure armor AC is not as good as Dex/Dodge/deflection. Remember to fight defensively and have 3 ranks in the mobility skill. Dodge and natural armor AC stacks, but most other types do not.
